The professional site is systems. This page is clay under the fingernails.
Work that exists because making things is the point — sculpted, drawn, photographed, or coded at midnight. Same hands as the commerce work, different rules.
Polymer clay × web — flagship
Phroglings
Strange little handmade clay squatters, each one sculpted, baked, and photographed — then given a whimsical folklore field guide built in Astro. Phroglings is the whole loop: physical craft, character design, brand voice, and the website that holds it together.
Physical craft
Polymer clay sculpture
Hand-built creatures and characters in polymer clay. Slow, tactile, unforgiving work — the opposite of an undo button, which is exactly the point.
Design
Character design
Faces, silhouettes, and personalities — mostly for Phroglings, sometimes just to see what a shape wants to become.
Code
Web experiments
Strange little apps and interactive toys that exist because the idea wouldn't leave. The proving ground for techniques that later show up in client work.
“Polymer clay has no undo button. It turns out that’s excellent training for code review.”
